BMWCCCT at Killarney. The cars, the community and a chapter of our 2026 season.

A closer look at the July grid.

There is a different view of BMWCCCT racing in the 25 July Power Series 6 photographs. Instead of cars passing the spectator bank, we are close enough to see the windscreen numbers, roll cages, rear wings and the people standing between the cars. It is the part of a meeting that a results sheet cannot show.

The yellow-and-silver E46 carrying number 919 fills one frame. A blue-and-white E36 displays E81 on its windscreen; elsewhere, a grey-and-orange E36 carries number 46. Their colours make them easy to pick out in the lineup, even where the championship records do not give us a reliable driver match for the car pictured.

Two numbers in the wider scenes connect clearly with the supplied standings. Sean Tubes’ white number 33 E36 appears among the lined-up cars, while Nicolaas Du Toit’s number 10 E36 sits alongside a pink BMW saloon. Both are listed with E36 328is in the championship, with Tubes competing in Class D and Du Toit in Class E.

By the provisional 22 August update, Tubes had 87 championship points and Du Toit had 46.7. At the top of that same overall table, Ernest Page led on 121, followed by Shane Boscombe on 104.4 and Connor Kilbride on 102. That is the later season picture, rather than a result for 25 July, but it helps place the July gathering within the championship we have been following.

The value of this album is in the close view. Look past the car nearest the camera and there are more BMWs, more preparation details and more people around the field. These five frames preserve the July meeting from inside the gathering, with the cars still together before the next part of the day.
